About the Painting

Painting inspired and representative of Summer Moon Comanche Raids and Culture. The Comanches lived a nomadic, hunter existence with a disarranged and transparent culture that reigned as a dominant empire of North America in the late 1800s. The respect, love, and dependency of buffalo. Unwillingness to change nomadic-hunting lifestyle despite the pressure of changing times. Expert knowledge of the landscape the tribe roamed, the seasons, harsh environments, archery, and horsemanship unlike any other. War embraced, embodied, and celebrated! War understood. A culture that developed a unique relationship and existence with death, life, blood, and nature.
